WEATHER CHECK
We have been very lucky with the weather, it's been very mild so far; however, winter weather is coming.

Now is a good time to review some things you can do around your home to help keep you and your family warm and the building safe from damage.

CLEAN YOUR FURNACE and AIR FILTER
Cleaning your furnace keeps it in good running order and can save you from an emergency call from a repair person.  Keeping your air filter clean will help circulate warm, clean air around your home.

SMOKE and CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS
With windows being closed, make sure your smoke and carbon alarms are in good running order.

CEILING FANS
If you have ceiling fans, make sure to reverse the fan directrion to push warm air down to the living space.

WATER PIPES
If you haven't turned off and drained your water pipes, do it now before it's too late.

WINDOWS
Windows are the biggest source for heat escaping.  Check around your windows to ensure good insulation and no drafts.

ATTIC SEAL
Check to ensure your attic seal is good.  Having gaps in your attic hatch can let warm air escape into the attic which can lead to attic rain, which can cause a lot of damage.  Any attic rain damage may not be covered by the Corporation.

If you experience any issues, please email to CondoBoard@chaparral-estates.com.  We can help however, PLEASE NOTE, that you may be responsible to pay for any charges.
SAFTEY AROUND SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT
Our Landscaper has asked that we share this message with our community .....

Dear Residents and Visitors,

As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe environment during snow removal operations, we kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping everyone safe on and around our sites.

Please be aware of the following safety guidelines:
1. Avoid Playing Around Equipment: Snow removal loaders and other heavy machinery are actively in use during our operations. While operators take every precaution, visibility can be limited, and children running or playing near equipment poses a significant safety risk.

2. Snowbanks Are Not Safe Play Areas: Building snow forts or playing on snow piles while our team is working can be dangerous. Snowbanks may shift or collapse, and additional snow is regularly added, creating unseen dangers.
We understand the excitement of winter and the fun that snow brings, but safety is our top priority. By working together, we can ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
