We have the luxury of living right next door to Fish Creek Provincial Park. Many of our residents enjoy sharing their pictures of the many visitors we have in our complex, Fish Creek and Calgary.

This particular local wildlife, exclusive to Chaparral Estates, is mostly seen when the conditions are just perfect for his kind - that means lots and lots of snow. :)
Our very snowy snow removal expert was in the thick of it during our winter snowfall in December 2020.

This year the fish creek owls were by the Ranche and easy to see up in the tree, they have since flown the coup!
I also see those cormorants are back at the pond in the dead tree they seem to enjoy. Did you know they sound like a pig, have a blue tongue and webbed feet!

Here are a few pics of the Owl that is near Sicomme ~ babies are here, but so far only they've only shown their fuzzy tops! There is one picture with the Mom is in with her babies. All other pics are the Mom outside when she was feeding them. Hopefully baby pictures will be forthcoming if the parents don’t move them.
